What this is

Cottonmouth Press makes print-ready t-shirt files. We don’t print, sell, or ship shirts. You take the file to a printer of your choosing; what happens at the printer is between you and them.

The free preview

Every listed plate has a free screen-size preview. It’s for looking and sharing; it is not print-grade and doesn’t carry a print license. The designer’s credit line stays on. You may not sell shirts made from a preview or redistribute the file.

The print pack

Buying a print pack gives you the print files and a commercial license for that one plate: print shirts from it, sell them in any quantity, with or without the credit line. Packs bought with an account stay on the account for re-download. You may not resell or share the files, register the slogan or design as a trademark, or claim you made it. The designer keeps the copyright. The full license ships in the pack.

If you press designs

• You own what you write. A new plate is yours alone until you submit it and a person lists it on the board. Submitting means accepting the submission agreement shown at the time (it is versioned; we keep the version you accepted).
• While a plate is listed, anyone can preview it free with your credit line on, and we sell print packs for it, paying you the designer share shown at the time of each sale. We can decline or delist a plate; delisting stops new sales but never takes back what you earned. A listed plate comes with its own print pack, free.
• Don’t press other people’s trademarks, hate speech, or harassment. We screen, and we take plates down when the screen or a report is right.
• Type-only designs are free and unlimited. Credits are for generated artwork: one credit per pull, charged when the pull starts and returned if the artwork doesn’t come through. Credits have no cash value and never expire.
• Payouts run by hand once your rev share balance is over the threshold shown on your payouts page. A refunded sale reverses its share. We may hold a payout while we look into a report.

If you post a print photo

Only post photos you took or have permission to post. A verified photo appears on the plate and the designer’s profile. We can decline or remove any photo.

Accounts

One handle per person. We can suspend accounts that abuse the press, the directory, or other people. Suspension hides your plates; it doesn’t take back files people already downloaded.

No warranty, limited liability

The files are provided as-is. We aim for a spec any shop accepts; if a shop rejects one, tell us and we’ll fix the file or the shop. We’re not liable for what gets printed, worn, or sold.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll email account holders before it takes effect.
