How it works

We make the file. You make the shirt.

Cottonmouth Press turns a slogan into a print-ready file any screen printer will accept without a phone call. We don’t print, sell, or ship shirts. There is no cart. There are no sizes.

01Type the slogan

One field. Seven words or fewer works best — a chest is small and people are far away. The type sets itself as you write. No account, no card.

Takes about 20 seconds
02Pick a house style

21 presses, each cut for a real screen: line art, halftone, athletic, woodcut, riso, sticker, astrology, primitive red , retro running, dark coffee, d, valid feelings, 8-bit arcade i, skull graphic, vintage skelet, pastel preside, official pumpk, dripping typog, the revolution, will be televi, rock 'n' roll , and the queen of c — and new ones land all the time. Type only is free and unlimited; artwork from the image model is one credit a pull. Every style prints clean in a few spot colors. Four proofs come back.

Takes about 30 seconds
03Take the file anywhere

Preview it free. The print pack — vector, 300 dpi files for light and dark shirts, and a spec sheet written for a press operator — goes to any shop, local or online. Then come back with the photo.

What’s in the pack

Built to the spec a print shop actually asks for. You should never have to explain anything.

40% goes to the designer

Type costs us nothing, so it’s free. Artwork from the image model costs real money, so it’s a credit a pull — cheap packs, no subscription. Popular designs earn credits back.

The part that makes it workPrint it. Photograph it. Come back.

A verified print is a photo of the shirt on a body. It gets stamped onto the design, onto the designer’s profile, and the count goes up by one. Every five verified prints returns a credit to the designer. Previews are cheap. Prints are proof.

Licenses, plainly
Free preview — for looking. A screen-size PNG to share and mock up. Not print-grade, no printing runs, no selling. The designer keeps the copyright.
Print pack — commercial license. Sell as many shirts as you like, credit line on or off. Don’t resell the files or change the words. 40% of the price goes to the designer. The license comes in the pack as a text file.
Short answers
Do I need an account?Only to publish, buy a print pack you can re-download, use artwork credits, or post a print photo. Browsing, type-only presses, and previews never ask for one.
Do you print the shirt? No. We never touch a garment. Upload the pack's PNG to any online printer — Printful, Printify, and the rest take it as-is — or hand the SVG to a local shop. The Printers page lists the ones people here use.
Can I upload my own image? No. A curated set of house styles, on purpose — we add new ones all the time. That is how every file prints clean in a few spot colors.
Who owns the design? The designer. The free preview is for looking. The print pack carries the commercial license.
How does a design get on the board? The creator submits it and a person reviews it. Listed plates earn rev share; unlisted ones are still the creator's to download and print.
What does the designer get?Their name on the shirt, a public profile, a free print pack for every listed plate, 40% of every pack sold while it's listed, and credits back when their work gets printed.
What if a shop rejects the file? They should not — it is the spec they ask for. If one does, send us the shop and the file. We will fix the file or the shop.
Two minutes. One shirt that didn’t exist.
